William “Devon” Bell, son of the late Willie and Mamie Bell, was born February 11, 1975. Devon passed away from this life on the morning of January 28, 2020, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, due to a gradual decline in health. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mamie Bell, and his step-sister, Tenora Davis.
Some of his accomplishments included graduating from Vernon High School in 1993 and going on to work for the City of Panama City Beach for a number of years. Devon was known for his ability to work on anything and for lending a helping hand to anyone when he could. There was no mystery to the love he had for his two daughters, Olivia and Nicole, and for his nieces and nephews. He tried to do what he could for them as his health allowed.
Devon is survived by his daughters: Olivia Bell of Panama City, FL and Nicole Bell of Vernon, Florida; sisters: Sheila Patton (Robert) of Chipley, FL, Eureka Bell of Tallahassee, FL, Fatima Bell of Bonifay, FL; step-brother: Timothy Davis of Sunny Hills, FL; step-mother: Connie Davis of Bonifay, FL; special friends: Mae Helen Davis of Chipley, FL, Joseph Peterson, Jr. of Vernon, FL, Reginald Peterson of Peoria, Illinois; special uncle: Johnny Bell of Vernon, FL; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
