Obituary

Tony Gurell Page, Jr. opened his eyes and entered life on Thursday, June 18, 1992, at 10:30 PM. He was blessed to join a family already established, making him the youngest of three. He had the pleasure of attending Mary Silva and Mary Given’s private daycare at the age of five weeks old. He received all the extra love and care from his grandmother and great-great grandmother as he was the only baby in their care during the daytime hours.

Tony was educated in the Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County school districts until he relocated to Leon County, Tallahassee, FL with his maternal grandmother and grandfather. After a couple of years, he returned to Fort Walton and continued his education. Tony would continue this trend of living from his parents to his grandparents his entire life. He especially enjoyed living in Tallahassee because he knew his grandparents spoiled him as he was often reminded by his siblings and cousins. Tony was a loving boy who lived life to have fun and he never met a stranger. Everybody was his home girl or home boy. He willingly shared everything he had with others, often going without to give to a friend that was in need, even though he too needed it more. But just the same he had a temper that could bring out the worst in him. After calming down he would apologize and continue as if he had done nothing wrong. His joy always won our hearts back and we would continue to supply all his needs and wants.

Once Tony became an adult, he never got serious about a career, but managed to keep a job usually in fast food. Managing his diabetes, which should have been an important factor, was also not a top priority in his young life because in his mind he had all the time in the world. On Thursday, December 29, 2022, God closed his eyes to open no more at 10:30 AM.

Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Annie Page, and loving aunt Joyce Ann Page Fountain.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, They stumbled and fell.” Psalm 27:1-2
