In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Sylvia Odessia (Brown) Wright of Chipley, Florida. She was 73 years old and a life long native of Washington County, Florida.
Sylvia was blessed with the breath of life on April 18, 1949 to the parentage of Charlie Brown, Jr. and Virena Odessia (Harmon) Brown in Vernon, Florida. Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and would later become a member of the St. Joseph A.M.E. Church of Chipley, Florida where she served in various capacities.
Sylvia was co-owner/partner of Kentucky Fried Chicken of Chipley, Florida.
She leaves to cherish her memories three (3) daughters: Kinisha Mims of Tallahassee, Florida, LaTasha (John) Tita of Columbus, Georgia, and Katrina Fisher of Tallahassee, Florida; three (3) sons: Rodger (Riana) Fisher, Johnathan Fisher and Alexander Fisher, all of Tallahassee, Florida; 18 grandchildren and four (4) great-grandchildren; beloved mother: Virena O. Brown of Tallahassee, Florida; two (2) sisters: Margaret (George) Duncan of Panama City, Florida, and Clara (Lonnie) Massaline of Orlando, Florida; eight (8) brothers: Leonard (Annie) Brown of Tallahassee, Florida, Thomas (Gilda) Brown of Tallahassee, Florida, John (Glory) Brown of Wakulla, Florida, Calude (Lillian) Brown of Crawfordville, Florida, Michael (Dearlene) Brown of Tallahassee, Florida, Hubert (Gina) Brown of Tallahassee, Florida, Bertram (Sonji) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, Patrick (Stephanie) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
