In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Rev. Martin Antonio Williams, Sr., of Bonifay, Florida, on March 4, 2023 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital of Chipley, Florida. Rev. Williams was 64 years old and a native of Holmes County, Florida.
Rev. Williams was blessed with the breath of life on November 5, 1958 to the parentage of Dea. Elijah Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Areatha Brown Williams in Bonifay, Florida. Being raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was reared in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Bonifay, Florida. Rev. Williams was educated in the public school system of Holmes County, Florida.
Rev. Williams accepted the call into the ministry at an early age and began preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to all he encountered. Rev. Williams would later relocate to Columbus, Georgia and continue the vision the God had given him. He founded the Ministries of Faith Pentecostal Ministries & Ministries of Faith Pentecostal Ministries 2, both in Columbus, Georgia. He pastored, taught, loved, cared, and served the people of God for 27+years; always trusting and believing the God would do just what He said.
Those left to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife: Johnnie Mae Williams of Columbus, Georgia; two sons: Martin Antonio Williams, Jr. of Bonifay, Florida and Jamal Darden of Chicago, Illinois; three daughters: Patricia Ann Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Taperther Cohen of South Carolina, and Charlene Jackson of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; grandchildren: Quindarius Williams, Tashley Cohen, Tiana Cohen, Chira Sandles, Jamari Darden, Mi’Riya Darden, and Jeremiah Darden; beloved sister: Ida Mae King of Bonifay, Florida; along with a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
