Phillip Richard Morris was born on January 17, 1956_to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Teretha Morris in Washington County, FL. On Saturday, October 31, 2020, Phillip answered to the Master’s call and exchanged his earthly life for an eternal one.
Phillip was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Ararat First Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. R.V Jefferson.
Phillip was educated in the public school system of Washington County, Florida. Where he graduated from Chipley High School in 1972. Phillip later enlisted in the United States Army and served his country for 4 years. After serving his country, he became an entrepreneur and started Phillip Morris Concrete, LLC until he was no longer able to work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Quantina Lorraine Morris; three sisters and six brothers
When a man findeth a wife, he findeth a GOOD THING. Phillip was blessed to find his GOOD THING in Phyllis Denise Foreman. Phillip and Phyllis were married on January 17, 1993 and to this union came three beautiful children: Keyandra Foreman, Laura Foreman and Steven Barnes; three grandchildren: Marketta Henderson, Cornelius Lee Jr., and Derrick Foreman., all of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. sister: Angeline M. (Rev. Thomas) Smith of Chipley, FL; brother: Jerry Morris of Ft Walton Beach, FL; uncle: Vashti Hudson, Bainbridge GA; a special friend: Michael Stocker.
Phillip also had a special niece, whom he loved as his own daughter, Ericka G. Barnes-Allen (she was also a caregiver and friend to him); 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
