In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Minnie Jewel Boston on October 9, 2021 in the Doctors Memorial Hospital of Bonifay, Florida. She was 81 years old and a native of Alabama.
Minnie Jewel was blessed with the breath of life on July 7, 1940 to the parentage of Joseph Butts and Mae Bell Butts in Dothan, Alabama. She was raised in a Christian home and received Christ as her personal Savior. Minnie was a faithful member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Chipley, Florida.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Boston.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Annie Jewel Spencer of Chipley, Florida, Gwendolyn Washington of Miami, Florida and Sharon Washington of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren: Curtis Spencer, Jr., and Kenya Spencer, both of Chipley, Florida; two great-grandchildren: My'Kaal Hooks and Zy'Koria Guster, both of Chipley, Florida; one great-great grandson: Gianni Myers of Chipley, Florida; two that sons she raised as her own: Lonnie Tyson and Dexter (Kaye) McDonald, both of Chipley, Florida; god-daughter: Shalonda Hardrick of Chipley, Florida; one sister; and a host of other relatives and friends.
