Michael Lee Norton

March 9, 1956 ~ November 8, 2021 (age 65)


    In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mr. Michael Lee Norton of Panama City, Florida on November 8, 2021 in the Bay Medical Center.  He was 65 years old and a life-long native of Bay County, Florida. 

    Michael was blessed with the breath of life on March 9, 1956 to the parentage of the late Johnny and Vera Kate (Balkum) Norton.  

    He attended public school in Bay County, Florida and was a graduate of Rutherford High School.  Michael was a certified mechanic and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar.  

    Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Johnnie Bell Williams; two brother: Willie Fred Norton, and Christopher Jean Norton. 

    He leaves to cherish his memories a twin brother: Mack Stephen Norton of Panama City, Florida; 8 half sisters and five half brothers: The Rogers Family of Panama City, Florida; special friend, caregiver, and companion: Judy Sorey of Panama City, Florida; step-children: Squilla (Shawn) Killings, Victor (Shankea) Sorey, and Timothy (Tasha) Sorey, all of Tallahassee, Florida; special friends: Johnny Reed,  OJay, Willie Gray, and Johnny Nelson, Jr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
