In humble submission to the will of God we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Martha Louise (Mingo) Griffin, of Caryville, Florida, on August 9, 2022 in the Bonifay Nursing & Rehab. Center. She was 80 years old and a native of Washington County, Florida.
Martha Louise Mingo Griffin was blessed with the breath of life on May 8, 1942 to the parentage of Mr. Robert Allen & Mrs. Eddie Mae (Engram) Mingo in Washington County, Florida.
Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church of Caryville, Florida. After graduation from T.J. Roulhac High School on June 6, 1960, Martha moved to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida for several years. In 1964 she relocated to Miami, Florida. Martha furthered her education, receiving a Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (Operating Room Tech) on March 6, 1984. In May of 2010, she relocated back to where she was given life in Caryville, Florida; bringing her skills to Bonifay Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers: Thomas Edward Mingo, Billy M. Mingo, William Mingo, Robert Mingo, Richard Mingo, James Mingo, and James Howard.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Delphine Renee Manley-Davis, husband Henry C., of Bonifay, Florida, and Deborah LaFaye Belser of Caryville, Florida; three grandchildren: Sharonda S. Belser, Tierra Nicole (Jamar) Franklin, and Jamar A. Brown; four great-grandchildren: Micah, Madyson, Malachi, & Kamdyn Brown; two sisters: Willie Mae Johns of Caryville, Florida and Pauline Mingo of Tallahassee, Florida; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
