Mrs. Mabel Wilson Kennedy, of Chipley, Florida, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on January 18, 2020 while in the comfort and solace of her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 94 years old and a native and lifelong resident of the Chipley community.
Mrs. Kennedy was granted the gift of life on June 24, 1925 through the parentage of Willie and Ethel Dickens Wilson in Washington County, Florida. Being raised in the fear and admiration of the Lord, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and then became a member of the Johnson Temple First Born Church of Chipley, Florida, where she remained a member until her transition. Mabel was married to the late Ransom Kennedy and was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish the everlasting memories are four daughters: Peggy Kennedy Wilson, Elaine Kennedy David, Gail E. Kennedy, and Tangela K. (Freddie) White; four sons: Johnny R. (Mary) Kennedy, Lee Dell (Wanda, fiancé) Kennedy, Ricky L. Kennedy, and Gregory Kennedy, all of Chipley, Florida; along with an abundant host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
