Living Field Marshall was born April 18, 1942 and raised in Andalusia, Alabama to the late Phil and Addie Marshall. He attended Andalusia public schools.
He was a Christian and attended church at Johnson’s Temple First Born Holiness Church of Chipley, FL.
Living Field had a grand personality, he loved to laugh and joke around. He was known by various names; Marshall, Dimmie, Doc, Jimmy, and One Pon. He was a dedicated, hard-working man from an early age. He took pride in the fact that he helped build Disney World back in 1933 as a concrete contractor. He later opened his own business called “Marshall Concrete”. He enjoyed watching a good game of football or baseball. Some of his favorite teams are Miami Dolphins, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Orlando, Magic. He enjoyed traveling and lived in several locations; Detroit MI, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Chipley, FL. He chose to settle down in Cottondale, FL. It brought him great joy to visit his many family and friends. However, he also cherished his time close to home in Cottondale and Chipley, Florida. He loved living and working in the Florida panhandle area.
Living Field earned his wings on October 12, 2020 when our lord and savior deemed it timely to call him to his eternal resting place. He was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, cousin, uncle and friend. His departure is a deep and personal loss to our family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his Father Phil and Mother Addie, siblings Ray Field, Tommy Louis, Willie Louis, Lizzy Pearl and Lee Anne. He is survived by one Sister Renee Marshall. Children Anthony, Jacquelin, James (Lucina), Dan, Veronica and Brenda (Stacey). 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends
