Kelnisha Octavia (“Young Tavii”) Peterson

    In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of  Ms. Kelnisha Octavia Peterson, of Vernon, Florida, on September 13, 2022 in the Flowers Hospital of Dothan, Alabama.  She was 25 years old.  

    “Yung Tavii”, as she was affectionately known, was born on August 11, 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida to Amy (Brown) Peterson and Kelvin Peterson, Sr. She was of the Christian faith and attended McQueen's Temple First Born Church of the Living God in Vernon, Florida. 

    She leaves to cherish her memories her parents: Amy (Brown) Peterson and Kelvin Peterson of Vernon, Florida; three sisters: Ki'Ra F. Peterson of Ebro, Florida, Brittany D. Peterson of New York, and Krisandra Brown of Washington, D.C.; two brothers: Kelvin C. (Zowie) Peterson, Jr. of Ebro, Florida, and Lamar D. Hogans of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces & nephews;  grandparents: Jimmy Brown of Vernon, Florida and Rev. Savannah Frederick of Vernon, Florida; aunts: Thawanna Brown of Ebro, Florida, Stephanie (Patrick) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia, and Felicia (James) Quaterman of Atlanta, Georgia; uncles: Keith (Niranda) Wright of Statesboro, Georgia, Caren (Naresha) Brantley of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Kenny Brantley of Vernon, Florida, Stacey Brown of Chipley, Florida, and Demetrius (Tanya) Brown of Enterprise, Alabama; special friend: Selena Murray of Ebro, Florida; godparents: James & Vanessa Johns of Jacksonville, Florida;  along with a large host of cousins, friends and loved ones.
