In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mr. Jonathan Alexander McKinnie, of Stone Mountain, Georgia on January 3, 2023. He was 32 years old.
Jonathan Alexander McKinnie, often referred to as “Rambo, John-John, Johnny Cakes”, was born August 12, 1990 in Long Island, New York to the parents of Theresa McKinnie and James Forman. He was a military child which allowed him to travel and meet many people – which was his passion. He was a graduate of Faith Academy School, Loganville, Ga and furthered his education by becoming a barber and HVAC certified.
At an early age Jonathan learned scriptures and buried them in his heart, he confessed Christ as his Savior. He was very active in his community, becoming a boy scout and was recognized and honored for saving another child’s life by using the Heimlich Maneuver.
Jonathan claimed Chipley, Florida as his home, this is where he spent most of his summer breaks alongside his uncle, the late Seth McKinnie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Albert McKinnie, Sr.
Jonathan exhibited many of his late uncle’s admirable characteristics and he had a great sense of humor. Fishing and hunting were his greatest pleasure. He also loved dogs, playing video games, and challenging his cousins to play for numerous hours. He meddled and fixed on four-wheelers and dirt bikes.
