Mr. Johnny Lee Carswell, of Vernon, Florida, and a native of Chipley, Florida, answered the call of his Lord & Savior on November 3, 2020 in Panama City, Florida. He was 62 years old.
Johnny was born on March 4, 1958 in Chipley, Florida to the late Howard Carswell and Sylvia Smith. He was educated in the public-school system of Washington County, Florida and was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as an E2. Johnny was a self-employed truck driver and was also a salesman of fruits and vegetables, serving the surrounding communities for numerous years. He enjoyed fishing and the Pittsburg Steelers Football Team. Johnny was affectionately known as “Papa Doc”.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife: Eyvon Holley Carswell of Vernon, Florida; three daughters: Clarissa Carswell of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Holley of Marianna, Florida, and LeTasha Holley (Shawn) of Panama City, Florida; three sons: Andre Moore (Chaenille), Damien Gilbert, and Dave Holley, all of Panama City, Florida; three sisters: Mazie Giles (Benny), Cora Brown (Roger) and Gladys Wagner, all of Chipley, Florida; two brothers: Calvin Carswell of Chipley, Florida, and Louis Carswell (Helen) of Panama City, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
