Jesse Thomas

Obituary

Mr. Jesse Thomas, of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2020 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and close friends.  He was 77 years old and  a native of Selma, Alabama.  

Jesse was born on October 13, 1943 to the late Hubert Thomas and Ola Mae Simpson in Selma, Alabama.  Being raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior an grew up in the Methodist Faith.  He later became a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Chipley, Florida.  

He leaves to cherish his memories a beloved companion, friend, and caregiver: Annie M. Peterson and the Peterson-Sharpe Family of Chipley, Florida; step-daughter: Caroline Cooper; step-grandchildren: Jessie Cooper Mortissen and Nelson McClintock, all of California; two brothers: Jimmy Simpson of Detroit, Michigan, and Willie Simpson of Lawrenceville, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
