Icelean Broxton was born on December 30, 1941 in Caryville, Florida to the late Curtis, Sr., and Addie Broxton. Preceding her in death are two brothers: H.J. Broxton and Curtis Broxton, Jr., and on sister: Dorothy Lee Hill.
Icelean Broxton was educated in the public school system of Washington County, Florida. She was a homemaker, who loved gardening & flowers. One of her greatest moments, was the birth of her daughter, Hattie, whom she loved dearly. Icelean was affectionately called “Icey” bu her family and friends. She joined the St. Mary AME Church at an early age and remained faithful until her health begin to decline. Icelean served as a Steward and sung in the church choir. Icelean loved her family, but she truly loved the Lord.
On Sunday, September 13, 2020, Icelean went home to be with the Lord in the comfort of her earthly home, surrounded by her family.
She leaves to cherish her memories a daughter and son-in-law: Hattie & Bernard Bryant of Caryville, Florida; brother: Willie (Mary) Broxton of Caryville, Florida; two sisters: Ella Mae (Earnest) Gardner of Tallahassee, Florida, and Arnetta Strickland of Crawfordville, Florida; two sisters-in-law: Eula Mae Broxton & Wynell Broxton, both of Caryville, Florida; special friends and cousins: Ida Nettles, Clara Williams, and Eddie Roy Troublefield; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
