In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mother Elizabeth Massaline Riley, of Vernon, Florida, on August 7, 2023 in the comfort of her daughters home. She was 97 years old and a lifelong native of Washington County, Florida.
Elizabeth was blessed with the breath of life on May 13, 1926 in Washington County, Florida to the parentage of the late Ambus & Esther Massaline. Being raised in a Chrisitan home, she was converted at an early age and attended Church of God by Faith under the leadership of Elder Theodore Powell.
Elizabeth loved cooking & baking, quilting for her grandchildren and let us not forget fishing. She would go down to the fish creek almost every day except for Sunday; she would say that Sunday is God's day and rest day.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John C. Riley; daughter: Gloria Jean Brantley; six sisters and two brothers.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children: Estelle Holmes of Vernon, Florida and Lonnie (Victoria) Massaline of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren: Kim M. (Thatcher) Howard, Ramon Massaline, Segwina Massaline, all of Orlando, Florida, and Nicholas Holmes of Vernon, Florida; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; two brothers: Sylvester (Lisa) Massaline of Sunny Hills, Florida, and James Massaline of Orlando, Florida; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
