In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the heavenly transition of Deacon Willie Frank Barnes on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in the Flowers Hospital of Dothan, Alabama. He was 80 years old and a native of Bay County, Florida.
Deacon Barnes was born November 13, 1940 in Center Hill, Florida to the late Preston and Essie Mae (Davenport) Barnes. He attended Rosenwald High School and later enlisted in the United States Army. After his time served in the Army Willie Frank resided in Newark, New Jersey then to moved Miami, Florida where he lived for over 50 years. Once retired, Willie Frank returned to Panama City, Florida where he met and then later married Virginia Carroll. He relocated to Slocomb, Alabama with his wife and lived for numerous years until his sudden passing. He was a member of Yes Lord Deliverance Ministries of Chipley, Florida, where he was an Ordained Deacon and served on the Deacon Board Ministries.
He leaves to cherish his beloved memories his beloved wife: Virginia Barnes of Slocomb, Alabama; five sons: Frank Randy (Diane) Barnes of Memphis, Tennessee, Ronald (Stephanie) Barnes of Atlanta Georgia, Malcolm (Erica) Barnes of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Frank Austin of Atlanta, Georgia, and James (Jessica) McBride, Jr. of Alabaster, Alabama; four daughters: Deborah Barnes, Phyllis Barnes, Tonya (Kenneth) Grant, all of Atlanta, Georgia and Wanda Frasier of Miami, Florida; three brothers: Rufus (Bessie) Barnes, Charlie (Theresa) Barnes both of Panama City, Florida, Freddie (Yon Suk) Barnes of Valdosta, Georgia; two sisters: Dorothy Turner of Panama City, Florida, and Carolyn (Raymond) Jackson of Warner Robbins, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Mary Alice Jefferson.
