In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Deacon Leo Smith on August 4, 2022 in the Bonifay Nursing & Rehab. Center of Bonifay, Florida. He was 78 years old and a native of Washington County, Florida.
Leo was blessed with the breath of life on December 19, 1943 to the parentage of Mr. John C. & Elease (Smith) Brown in Millers Ferry, Florida. Being raised in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of the McQueen's Temple First Born Church of the Living God in Vernon, Florida.
Leo leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife: Delois J. Smith of Vernon, Florida; son: Darryl (Lisa) Smith of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; two daughters: Felicia (Ronnie) Brown of Vernon, Florida and Tiffany (Tony) Johns of Caryville, Florida; six grandchildren: Diovahon Williams of Enterprise, Alabama, LaZambria Johnson of Caryville, Florida, Tyler Smith of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Yasmine Reed of Vernon, Florida, Ryan Smith, and Evan Smith both of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; three great-grandchildren: Symmone Bell, Dailee Bell, and Qortney Bell all of Enterprise, Alabama; five brothers: Ronald (Margaret) Brown, Ralph (Elizabeth) Brown, Elder Wade (Rev. Priscilla) Brown, Louis (Lola) Brown, and Clifford (Equilla) Brown, all of Vernon, Florida; five sisters: Evang. Carolyn Conner, JoAnn (Clint) Davis, June (Ira) Jackson, all of Vernon, Florida, Lottie Brown of Tallahassee, Florida, and Sonya (Roderick) Campbell of Pensacola, Florida; two aunts: Arletha Alford and Corine Harris; sister-in-law: Veloria Preyer; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
