In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Deacon John Sherman Crosby, of Port St. Joe, Florida, on December 16, 2022 in Panama City, Florida. He was a lifelong native of Port St. Joe, Florida.
John was blessed with the breath of life on December 31, 1951 to Lizzie Crosby and Sherman Roulhac in Port St. Joe, Florida. He was raised in a Christian home and would later join the Port St. Joe COGIC and become an ordained Deacon in the Lord's Church. He served as the Chairman of the Deacon Board and in any other capacity needed.
John served in the U.S Navy and received a honorable discharge. He was also a member of the Concerned Christians, Knights of Pythias, Community Outreach and the Chairman of the 1970 Washington High School Alumni Association.
John was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah Stallworth.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife: Eldress Deborah S. Crosby of Port St. Joe, Florida; three children: Doyle (Andrea) Crosby of Nashville, Tennessee, Felisha (Larry) Pollard of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Daphne Crosby of Orlando, Florida; adored grandson: Jaxon Williams of Orlando, Florida; two brothers: James Buie and Gary Roulhac, both of Port St. Joe, Florida; three sisters: Linda (Gene) Roulhac of Port St. Joe, Florida, Bonita Peele and Aquilina Taylor; brothers & sisters-in-law: Richard (Patricia) Stallworth of Tallahassee, Florida, Calvin (Ida) Stallworth of Pensacola, Florida, Lois Byrd of Port St. Joe, Florida, and Dr. Frances Stallworth of Tallahassee, Florida; god-sister: Pinkie Bolden of Tallahassee, Florida; along with a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, cousins, and the entire North Port St. Joe Community.
