In humble submission to the will of God we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mr. Curtis Dale Moore, Sr., on December 16, 2021, in the Bay Medical Center of Panama City, Florida. He was 66 years old and a life-long native of Washington County, Florida.
Curtis was blessed with the breath of life on May 26, 1955, to the parentage of Julius & Sarah C. Moore in Washington County, Florida. With him being raised & taught in a Christian home, Curtis accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Johnson Temple First Born Church of Chipley, Florida.
Curtis received his primary and secondary education in the public school system of Washington County, Florida and was a graduate of Chipley High School. After graduation, Curtis enlisted in the United States Army and served diligently for 20 years until retiring in the rank of SSG. Upon retiring he returned home to Chipley and later became employed with UPS. There he would make an impression on countless lives in the position of Local Sort Supervisor for nearly 20 years before retirement. Curtis had a quiet demeanor, but lived a well spoken life and left an everlasting footprint in the lives of many.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved mother: Mother Sarah C. Moore of Chipley, Florida; two sons: Joshua (Amber) Moore of Chipley, Florida, and Curtis D. (Tarsha) Moore, Jr., of Crestview, Florida; nine grandchildren: Kylee R. Baisch-Moore, Zoe N. Thacker, Porter D. Moore, Ella R. Moore, Diamond N. (Adrian) Navarro, Dorian P. (Cenee) Moore, Dahlia M. Moore, Damari M. Moore, and John B. Birge; three great-grandchildren: Delilah A. Moore, Dorian P. Moore, Jr., and Andres’ C. Navarro; six siblings: Alan Bernard (Debra) Moore of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Fredia Moore of Chipley, Florida, Emily Moore, Drucilla Moore, both of Ft. Washington, Maryland, Alvin Moore of Chipley, Florida, and Pastor Rennie (Carolyn) Moore of St. Mary’s, Georgia; uncle: Bernice Herring of Central Islip, New York; mother of his children: Dorcas Elaine Odom of Chipley, Florida along with a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
