In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Colorado Bailey Hill Jones, of Port St. Joe, Florida, on April 20, 2023 in Panama City, Florida. She was 89 years old and a native of Jackson County, Florida.
Colorado was born on July 29, 1933 to the parentage of Crawford Bailey and Carrie (Roulhac) Bailey in Jacob City, Florida. Being the eldest of 6, she was raised to be a caregiver and mother figure to her siblings and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and sibling: Christine, Carrie Bell, Betty Jean, Eugene, and Lula Lee.
Colorado was united in Holy Matrimony to Napoleon Hill, Sr., who preceded her in death. From this union, four children was reared: Napoleon, Jr., Linda, Brenda, and Edward. She was employed with the City of Port St. Joe Municipal Hospital and she named what we knew as "Gulf Pines Hospital". She was employed there for over 33 years before retiring as the Housekeeping Supervisor. Colorado would later become employed with the Gulf County ARC for ten years and would retire at the age of 79. She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for numerous years and served until her health begin to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children: Napoleon (Linda) Hill, Jr. of Panama City, Florida, Linda Hill and Brenda (James) Blue, both of Port St. Joe, Florida; daughter-in-law: Barbara Ann Hill of Port St. Joe, Florida; 14 grands, 14 great-grands, and three great-great grands; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
