In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mr. Calvin S. Pryor, Sr., on October 23, 2022 in the Ascension Sacred Heart Bay of Panama City, Florida. He was 75 years old and a native of Geneva County, Alabama.
Calvin, affectionately known as “RoRo” was born in Slocomb, Alabama, on March 8, 1947 to Woodrow Pryor and Emma Nell Williams Pryor. He was the youngest of four children.
Calvin was baptized at a very early age and became a member of the Countyline Missionary Baptist Church before relocating to Port St Joe where he joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church. He served his country in the United States Army.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jimmy Pryor and Cubie Dean Walker; daughter, Marchell Sims.
Those left to cherish his memories include his children: Calvin S. Pryor, Jr. (Monique), Felix Salter (Nicki), Cheryl Pryor, Alashia Pryor, Cameron Pryor, Stefon Sims, Anthianette Sims, Stanley Winfield and Shannon (Shedrick) Faulk; brother: William Spencer Pryor; sister-in-law: Esther Marie Pryor; two aunts: Ellen (Johnny) Miller and Betty J. Lawson; along with a large host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, caring neighbors and friends
