In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mr. Bazz Smith, of Ebro, Florida, on September 9, 2023 in the Washington Nursing & Rehab. Center of Chipley, Florida. He was 89 years old and a native of Washington County, Florida.
Bazz was blessed with the breath of life on September 22, 1933 to the parentage of Mr. Bud Smith and Mrs. Sylvester Soloman. Being reared in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was of the Holiness Faith. Bazz was a construction worker by trade and truly enjoyed being around his family and friends. One of the happiest moments was when he was united in Holy Matrimony to Idell Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter: Marie Smith; two grandsons: Clyde Potter and Kevin Potter; two granddaughters: Delta Smith and Idella Martinez; one great-grandchild: Liyonna Martinez; three brothers: Willie James (Geraldine) Smith, Willie (Betty) Brown, AND Leonard (Phillis) Brown; two sisters: Vida Mae Campbell and Arlene Butler; brothers-in-law: Cardell Bell, Addis Bell, KC Bell, and Cleroy Bell; special sister-in-law: Mary Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bazz was preceded in death by his parents and wife; great-grandson: Angel Angelito Martinez; his sister: Ruby Lee Strickland; brother: Henry James Smith; five step-sisters: Rebecca Brown, Irene Reed, Vera Hicks, Hilda Burns, and Laycenia Fashion; five step-brothers: Arthur C. Brown, Milton Brown, Alexander Brown, Lorenzo Brown, and Clarence Brown.
