Ryan Darius Kirby

September 11, 1977 ~ March 2, 2019 (age 41)
Ryan Darius Kirby was born on September 11, 1977 in Quincy, FL.  He attended Havana Northside High School in Havana, FL.  Ryan lived several years of his childhood in Tallahassee and the remainder of his childhood and teenage years was spent in Havana.

As he matured and became a young man, he eventually moved to New Pt. New, VA.  Ryan was subsequently returned to FL and settled in a small rural town in the Panhandle that he truly loved and considered his home—Chipley, FL.

Ryan worked primarily in the construction industry doing various jobs, especially concrete and other labor intensive jobs.  He would also perform various jobs for friends and relatives in the Chipley Community.

Ryan was energetic, free-spirited, adventurous, and a kind-hearted person who enjoyed making people laugh.  He was fiercely loyal and supportive of his family and friends.  At numerous family gathering, Ryan would have everyone laughing as he dramatically performed imitations of his uncles and other family members.   Simply stated, Ryan loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Ryan also had a special affinity for the country and would regularly hunt wild boars and deer with his many, many dogs.  He was taught to hunt and fish at an early age by his father, grandfather, and uncles.  Ryan killed his first deer at the age of 12 and received his first dog at the age of 6. So it was not unusual to find him hunting with those dogs at his heels, wherever there were woods nearby.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son: Ryan Kirby, Jr., Tallahassee; 4 daughters: Alexandria Kirby, Tara Coring, both of Tallahassee, Aneeka Butler & Naleah Kirby, both of Chipley; grandson: Jaiden Butler; mother: Eddie Kirby-Bland, Tallahassee; father: Claude (Lillian) Brown, Sr., Crawfordville; grandparents: Virena Brown, Tallahassee, & George Kirby, Sr., Havana; 4 brothers: Darwin (Elizabeth) Kirby, Claude (Eureka) Brown, Jr., Jason, Brown, all of Tallahassee, & Desmond Ford, Crawfordville; along with a large host of aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews;  special kindred: Jonta Harmon, James Brown, III, and Jalessa Brown, all of Chipley; other relatives and many friends
