Missionary Ethel Mae Brown, of Vernon, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2019 in the comfort of her home. She was 88 years old.
Ethel was born on May 3, 1931 to the late Lou Ella Brown Clark Massaline. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the McQueen’s Temple First Born Church in Vernon, Florida. She met and married the late John E. Brown, Sr. and to this union 11 children were born, which her son, Tony A. Brown, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories four loving daughters: Min. Ethel D. Siples, Min. Cathy L. Brown, Cynthia D. Brown, all of Vernon, Florida, and Lola (Eric) Lampley of Chipley, Florida; six beloved sons: Rev. Willie E. (Blondell) Brown, Sr., Jr. Bishop John O. (Gloria) Brown, Dr. Louis D. (Mary) Brown, all of Vernon, Florida, Dr. Howard L. (Phyllis) Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, Dea. John E. (Terri) Brown, Jr., of Crawfordville, Florida, and Pastor Carl W. Brown, Sr., of Tallahassee, Florida; raised as her sons: Johnny E. Campbell & Walter L. (Faye) Clark of Atlanta, Georgia; 34 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Hilda Brown, Virena Brown, & Ophelia LaMae; Spiritual sons: Prophet Jarvis Holmes & Min. John C. Jackson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
